Diana Wallis MEP, spoke at a seminar today in Brussels organised by EFTA on the European Economic Area .

Diana Wallis, President of the European Parliament's delegation to Switzerland, Iceland and Norway and the EEA JPC, made it clear that she thought that the EEA Agreement was essentially a static one and it no longer has the same sort of importance to the EU institutions as it might have had when it was first set up.
